Work with a Kitchen Designer in the Bay Area
Our designers have spent decades planning kitchens for Bay Area homes, and the same designer stays with you from the first conversation to the day your cabinetry is installed.
Artistic Kitchen is a design studio and cabinetry showroom in Mountain View. We design kitchens and the cabinetry that makes them work, order that cabinetry from the makers we trust and coordinate its installation, working alongside your contractor for everything else.

Why the designer matters most
Cabinetry is the largest decision in a kitchen, and it shapes everything else: how you cook, where things live and how the room feels at the end of a long day. An experienced designer sees problems before they are built in, from a dishwasher that blocks a drawer to an island that crowds the walkway.
Our designers listen first. They learn how you use your kitchen, what you love about your home and what has never worked, then shape the layout and the cabinet plan around it. Our promise is simple: we are not done until you are happy.

How your kitchen comes together
Every project follows the same unhurried path, so you always know what comes next.
Showroom Experience
A free, 30-minute visit to our Mountain View showroom. See DOCA, Wood-Mode and Crystal cabinetry side by side, compare door styles and finishes in person, and talk through your ideas with our team.
Design Consultation
A free, 60-minute meeting with one of our designers. Bring plans, photos and measurements if you have them, and we will talk through layout, priorities and budget.
Design agreement
When you are ready to move forward, a design agreement and deposit reserve your designer's time and begin the detailed design work.
Layout and design
Your designer develops the layout and the cabinet plan and guides your selections: door style, finishes, hardware and the storage inside every cabinet.
Estimate review
We walk through the estimate with you, refine anything that needs it and confirm every specification. Our technical design team reviews the details before anything is ordered.
Order
Your cabinetry is ordered from the maker and built for your kitchen, and we keep you informed until it arrives.
Installation coordination
Your own contractor can install the cabinetry, or we can coordinate its installation for you.
Kitchens first, and anything that attaches to a wall
Kitchens are our focus, and the cabinet lines we carry give each one its own character: DOCA for European design from Barcelona, Wood-Mode for American craftsmanship at the highest level, and Crystal for versatile custom and semi-custom cabinetry.
The same designer can carry the design into the rest of the house with anything that attaches to a wall: bathroom vanities, bookshelves, media centers, custom closets and fireplace mantels. Cabinetry for bathrooms and other rooms is designed as an add-on to a full kitchen remodel.

Working with your architect, designer or contractor
Many of our clients arrive with an interior designer, architect or contractor already on the team, and we welcome that. We focus on the kitchen design and the cabinetry, share drawings and details with the people handling the rest of the remodel, and make sure the cabinets fit the vision you have built together.
Permits, structural changes, plumbing and electrical stay with your contractor. We are not a general contractor, so we stay in close contact with yours to make sure the cabinetry fits the plan.

Kitchen design questions
How long does a kitchen design take?
Our designers can usually turn a kitchen design around in about a week. The timing depends on where you are in the project: whether plans and measurements are ready, whether appliances are chosen and how quickly decisions come together.
Is the first meeting free?
Yes. The Showroom Experience is a free 30-minute visit, and the Design Consultation is a free 60-minute meeting with a designer. The detailed design work begins once you sign a design agreement.
Are you a general contractor?
No. We design kitchens and cabinetry, order the cabinetry and coordinate its installation. Your contractor handles permits, structural work, plumbing and electrical, and we work closely with them.
